What is a face polish?
Also known by the term skin brightening or exfoliation, a face polish is used to improve the texture of the skin. It nourishes the skin with essential nutrients, removes dead cells, helps to reduce acne, breakouts and fine lines. The result is a healthier looking, smoother, brighter, softer, and glowing complexion.

Dates
The date palm, often referred to as “The Tree Of Life” is abundant in the UAE where it is freshly harvested and honored as a national superfood. Shirley Conlon Organics is very proud to use this delicious fruit in our newly launched face polish.
Dates have superb anti-aging qualities. Being an excellent source of vitamins C & D, dates increase collagen production making your skin plump and elastic.
They are naturally rich in organic acids; lactic, folic and ascorbic acids for natural exfoliation. Dates are also an excellent source of antioxidants; magnesium, potassium, thiamine and biotin to prevent oxidation and cell damage and reduce inflammation.
Likewise, the date nutrients strengthen and enhance the subcutaneous tissues that give you smoother, softer skin. The antioxidant-rich dates fight the harmful effects of free radicals and delay the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The pantothenic acid present in dates works from within, imparting a radiant glow to the skin.
Upcycled Dates
As a conscious company we strive to support and buy local and although not always possible, we are delighted to have found a way to upcycle the date pith (stone inside the fruit). Our face polish does not contain microbeads; instead, it contains date seed powder that is processed naturally from the fruit seed. We have upcycled the leftover piths of date fruit and have used it as an exfoliant in this face polish. Date seed powder is entirely eco-friendly and bio-degradable and ideally in harmony with nature. It has excellent exfoliating properties and keeps your skin smooth and vibrant.
Lactic Acid (from Bilberry)
To help moisturise the skin and fight signs of aging. It firms your skin by renewing collagen. Also, it gives a smooth complexion by fighting age spots, fine lines and wrinkles.
Glycolic Acid (from Sugar Cane)
Considered the holy grail for exfoliation, Glycol acid effectively removes the outer dead skin layer revealing fresh and brighter skin.

Citric Acid (from Orange and Lemon)
Citric acid sloughs of dead cells and enhances new skin growth that significantly reduces age spots, acne marks, uneven skin tone, and fine lines.
Malic and Tartaric Acids (from Sugar Maple)
Sourced from sugar maple, malic acid offers anti-aging benefits. Also, it aids in ceramide stimulation and gentle exfoliation.
Tartaric acid keeps the formula stable by regulating its pH level. Likewise, it also helps in exfoliation.
Apply SCO’s date face polish to dry skin. Add a little water and let the magic happen! As it turns to a beautiful milk on the skin, it removs dead skin cells and prepares the skin for better absorption of serums and face creams.
